Completely Country Afternoon Tea…a toe-tapping triumph
Sunday 10th August 2025
What a day! More than 150 guests joined us for our Completely Country Afternoon Tea, and the room was bursting with music, laughter and the warmest community spirit. Together, we raised £3,416 in vital funds for The Oxygen Works and we’re absolutely over the moon.
From the very first chord, Martin Bannon had everyone on their feet, singing along and setting the tone for the afternoon. Our Trustee Director Dan Jenkins kept the momentum rolling, co-hosting with the exceptional Venus Guy Trap, who delivered a masterclass in entertainment, sharp wit, big vocals and the kind of energy that keeps a crowd smiling for hours.
A special shout-out to the Kingsmills team, who embraced the theme in their finest country attire and served a phenomenal afternoon tea with a twist, (no sandwiches at this rodeo). It was playful, delicious and perfectly on-brand for a day that celebrated doing things a little differently.
Beyond the fun and line-dancing spirit, the heart of the afternoon was unmistakable: community coming together to support people across the Highlands living with neurological and complex health conditions. Your generosity helps us provide accessible, high-quality therapies and services from oxygen therapy to cutting-edge physiotherapy, and ensures we can continue to offer choice, dignity and compassionate care to everyone who walks through our doors.
Events like this don’t happen without brilliant people behind the scenes. A huge thank you to everyone involved who helped make it such a success.
Keep an eye on our social media for photos from the incredibly talented Al Donnelly Photography who helped to capture the magic of the day!
If you joined us: thank you. If you couldn’t make it this time, we hope to see you at the next one…a brand new theme being cooked up right now!
