A Highland based centre of excellence, with oxygen therapy at its core, providing transformative support to individuals living with long-term and complex health conditions, empowering them to live their best lives.
The Oxygen Works offer access to unique, innovative and holistic therapies and services, supporting our community to better manage their health and wellbeing. From oxygen therapy to cutting-edge physiotherapy and a range of complementary therapies; all aimed at offering our clients choice in their health and wellbeing journey.
As a Registered Scottish Charity (SC020475) we work to deliver services and therapies which are affordable, accessible and which improve the lives of countless people.
We have delivered invaluable support to our community since 1992 and are proud to serve a broad and inclusive group of individuals who travel from across the north of Scotland to access our services.
Across all of our operations and interactions, we focus on the individuals we support at all times. Providing the highest standard of treatment and client care. We operate an environment of trust and respect to provide a positive experience for all.
We offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy (sometimes referred to as HBOT) and oxygen therapy at ambient pressure via oxygen concentrators. Our team will help you to select which oxygen therapy option would be best for you given your individual circumstances and need.
We are delighted to provide a new fitness facility with the aim of supporting clients who find it difficult to access other gym facilities. Our supervised gym contains specialist equipment which is ideally suited for people living with long-term health conditions and disabilities to improve their health and wellbeing.
We work with self-employed therapists who each bring specialist skills, experience and techniques to offer a range of complementary therapies to support your individual needs. These include Bowen Therapy, cupping, auricular acupuncture and Theraplate.
Paying For Your Support Services
As a registered charity we provide services to people living with long-term and complex health conditions at significantly subsidised rates. A good example of this would be our Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) sessions which in reality cost over £60 per session to run regardless of the number of people in the session – we ask for a Suggested Minimum Contribution of £15 from clients.
Our fundraising, applying for grant funding and general donations from the public allow us to offer our services for a Suggested Minimum Contribution. You can see our full list of services and associated Suggested Minimum Contributions here.
We always want to support individuals to access services. If you are in receipt of benefits and do not feel you can achieve the Suggested Minimum Contribution, we may be able to provide you with more assistance. Please speak to a member of the Senior Management Team.
Please note we operate a 24-hour cancellation policy. This is not something we want to impose, however, it is the only way we can continue to offer services at heavily subsidised rates and to ensure we can offer others access to appointments in a sustainable way.
I cannot recommend The Oxygen Works highly enough.
I have been attending oxygen therapy for over 5 years which has been pivotal in managing my MS symptoms. The team and volunteers are so friendly and welcoming and their support is second to none. Coming through the door for my session each week is like coming home ❤️
