2023 has been a hugely busy year for The Oxygen Works. As we begin to look forward to the Festive break and prepare for 2024, it also provides an opportunity to look back and reflect on a year that seems to have passed in the blink of an eye.

For those of you who follow our Facebook page*, you will have been kept updated on all the latest TOW news. Our Friday round ups that are created and published by Jenni every week are hugely popular and serve as our weekly newsletter. It would take hours to write, and even longer to read, to list everything that has happened in the last year. Thankfully we recorded the Directors Annual Review at our AGM in September, where our Chair Dan Jenkins gave a summary of the events of the year to date. You can view the video here on our YouTube channel.

While I am unable to list all of the incredible acts of kindness, generosity and humanity that make our TOW community so special and unique, I have to make mention to the incredible team here at TOW. Each and every one of them work tirelessly to deliver the support and answer the call of need from our community. If the chamber is the lungs of TOW, our team are the heart. Jenni, Kasia, Nichola and Grahame; thank you does not feel quite big enough.

An extension, but very much part of team TOW, I would also like to say a huge thank you to our skilled and professional therapists and practitioners, who deliver exceptional service and support to everyone at the Centre. The centre would simply not be the same without you.

And finally to our Board, who volunteer countless hours and willingly share their expertise, skills and knowledge in order for the charity to survive and thrive. We have been on quite the journey this year, working on the strategic development and growth plans for TOW. 2024 will see many of these elements move from planning to implementation. For all of this and more, thank you.

As we ready ourselves for a hugely busy 2024 with lots of exciting developments ahead, I could not be more proud and delighted to be on this journey with such a wonderful group of individuals. We have an increasing need to fulfil to support our community and I have no doubt that each and every one of you will rise to the challenge.

So thank you 2023…2024 let’s be having you!
